Clark, Pojednic announce formation of IRCA

Led by Chris Clark and John Pojednic, we are pleased to announce the formation of the Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association. Chris and John have discussed the need for a men’s rowing coaches association for years and the current COVID-19 situation, alongside the Black Lives Matter movement and other social justice issues, convinced them that now was the time for unification. The hope and expectation is that the IRCA, while in its nascent stage today, will grow into an effective body that can speak and advocate from a position of strength on issues directly affecting our sport.

Chris Clark is the head coach at the University of Wisconsin and is entering his 25th season with the Badgers.

John Pojednic is the head coach at Northeastern University and is entering his 21st season with the Huskies.
